Recognitions and Awards

The World Wide Web (WWW) was created from the 1989 concepts of Tim Berners-Lee and Robert Cailliau (of CERN) and the first commercial web browser, NCSA Mosaic, only appeared in 1993. Thus, the WWW is so new that we are still seeking to define standards of excellence and quality for academic materials found online. This web-based resource has been developing as an available site since 1996, relatively early in the life of the WWW. Early recognitions noted below have given way to other forms of notice. I try simply to suggest some of evidence of external reviewers attesting to this sites' academic utility and quality.
