I wish to thank all those who wrote thoughtfully on the subject including those listed in the bibliography and many other sources of similar information and ideas. In keeping with my education, I did not cite ideas or theories if I found them in more than three sources where in turn they were not cited, treating them as common knowledge.

I would also like to thank those who assisted me in creating this web site, especially Rev. Ray Bucko, SJ, former Le Moyne Professor of Anthropology, and Dr. Carmen Giunta, Professor of Chemistry. And of course I'm grateful to the patient and efficient Interlibrary Loan Supervisor, Wayne Stevens, and my colleagues who offered suggestions and support.
