Philosophies of Judaism: syllabus, lecture notes, links, old
exams
Syllabus for
PHL 324 (REL 383)--Philosophies of Judaism 2009
To be noted:
- I found some great material today (2/6/2008) on the Ellis Rivkin Society
web site (http://www.rivkinsociety.org/index.html), which includes an
interview with Dr. Rivkin on different God concepts in the Bible.
- As I indicated in class (2/16/07), Michael Swanwick's
"Triceratops Summer," a wonderful
love story in its own right, can be read as an insightful response
to/commentary
on Kohelet, the Book of Ecclesiastes. You
can download this story for 49 cents from amazon.com.
- The 1st take home
exam [This is from Spring 2007; there are no exams for the
spring 2008 course.]
was to be emailed
before class and a printed copy turned in during class on Friday,
February 23, 2007.
