INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR HISTORY MAJORS

Listed below are various internship possibilities, with the most recent additions
listed first. If you are interested in pursuing one of them, please contact Prof.
Judge (mailto:judge@maple.lemoyne.edu). Further internship opportunities can be found on the
Career Services web page.

Beth McCarthy from Student Conservation Association (http://thesca.org/) will be on campus on November 4th. SCA is the nation’s oldest and largest provider of conservation internships. SCA offers nearly 2000 expense paid opportunities each year. Internships last from 12 weeks to 12 months, start at all times throughout the year, and are found all across the country. Beth contacted the Career Services office to meet with me regarding internship opportunities for Le Moyne students. She said there are opportunities for students across all disciplines. Additionally, Beth will be hosting a table outside the dining hall from roughly 12-2.
Thank you, Patti Bevans, Associate Director of Global Education and Internships Le Moyne College RH 344 (315) 445-4185

I received information today regarding an internship in Senator Gillibrand’s local office.  An alumnus, Kyla Clark, works in the office and is very interested in having a Le Moyne intern next semester.  The application deadline is October 28th. I’d like students to submit their application materials to the career services office and then we will send all of the applications directly to Kyla. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me.

VOLUNTEER/INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Sometimes work at a local volunteer agency can count for
internship credit, as long as it is related to your education and
career goals and you fulfill the basic internship requirements. As
with any internship, it takes 42 work hours, (typically 3 hours per
week for 14 weeks) to earn 1 credit, or 126 work hours (typically
9 hours per week for 14 weeks) to earn 3 credits. However, this can
be done over a longer or a shorter period, depending on your
schedule. Here are some possibilities:
