CONCEPT OF ATTRACTOR:
HOW DYNAMIC SYSTEMS THEORY DEALS WITH FUTURE
The notion of attractor -a state of the system in the future towards which the system moves in the present - has accomplished a major task of including future into the theoretical models of the social sciences. Together with this achievement comes the disadvantage of creating yet another limitation - the attractor states are given as idealized states, rather than positions in a dialogue. A formal theory of attractors as parts of a dialogical process will be provided, together with an analysis of dialogical monologization.
