University of Maryland

The University of Maryland is currently listed as the #1 school in criminology graduate programs according to the World News Report.  The University of Maryland offers a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in the area of Criminology and Criminal Justice.  They also offer a joint J.D./M.A. degree with the School of Law of the University of Maryland and a Professional M.A. in Criminal Justice.

University of Albany

The university of Albany is currently ranked the #2 school in criminology and criminal justice graduate programs according to the World News Report.  The University of Albany became the first Ph.D.-granting criminal justice program in the nation.   The University of Albany offers a PHD, MA .  The sociology graduate program offers a PHD, MA, CGS, and BA/MA.

Indiana State University

Indiana State University offers a Master's Degree in Criminology. Special aspects of their graduate program include; State-wide contacts in education programs with law enforcement personnel and a modern forensic laboratory.

Penn State University 

Penn State University offers a Master's Degree in Criminology.  They are also ranked in the top 20 graduate programs in the nation for Sociology.

Syracuse University 

The Maxwell School the Maxwell school of Citizenship and Public Affairs offers an M.A. or a Ph.D. in Sociology. They do not offer a graduate program for Criminal Justice.
