           About me:

I am currently a senior at Le Moyne College and I am going to be graduating in December. I will eventually have to be looking for a full time job, and I would prefer to stay here in Syracuse. I am interested in two fields for a full time job; the equine industry and the social service industry. Both fields I find to be very fulfilling and I would hope that at some point I could incorporate both into my daily life. I currently work on a horse farm four days a week and I would like to increase those days when I am finished with school. I have worked very hard through my years at Le Moyne and I hope that after graduation my hard work will have paid off and I am able to get the job that I deserve.

Some Graduate Schools I would consider:

http://www.syr.edu/ - I think that I would like to attend Syracuse University because I would like to stay here in Syracuse if possible. I would like to find a part time job at the University and then I would be attending graduate school for free. After graduate school I think it would be much easier to find a job in the social service field.

http://www.newpaltz.edu/graduate/index.cfm- I would like to go to SUNY New Paltz because I think I would be able to both attend this college and find a job in the equine industry to pay for some of my expenses. This is also a part of NY which I am not totally familiar with, so it would be close enough to home to come and visit a lot, yet far enough away to learn some new things alone.

http://www.uky.edu/- I would love to go to graduate school in Kentucky because I could definitely find an equine job there while at the same time getting my SOC masters degree. I think that with new information that I would have learned from living out of state and obtaining my masters degree I would be able to do anything that I wanted within my field.

http://www.montclair.edu/graduate/programs.shtml- I think that going to school in NJ would also be very beneficial because I know a lot of farms in that area so I should not have a problem getting a job. This would be another part of the country that I would be able to work in, and then with my masters I would be able to maybe work in the city as a social worker.

http://business.clemson.edu/Socio/index.html  - I think that going to Clemson would be a very good opportunity because I would also like to have the chance to live in South Carolina. This is one of the other states that I would be confident in getting a job in. I think that by going to graduate school here, just like some other schools in the surrounding areas, I would be able to work in the horse field while at the same time earning my degree in Sociology.

Web pages that I used to design my page:

My Professional Interests:

http://www.yardandgroom.com/ - This website is something that I found online and I have been using it a lot to look at various jobs that would be available for me in the equine industry. I have noticed that all of these jobs I am overqualified for and some of them I am very confident that I would be ale to receive a job in that field.

http://www.equinecollege.org/equine_industry.htm - This website I used when I was slightly confused as to what all my options were when looking for a possible job with horses. I think this website was very helpful because I was able to look at the options and I was able to see what kind of things I could do right out of college and what ones I would need some training for.

http://www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/www_usn.nsf- I have used this website a lot as well because I am very excited about the jobs that the Salvation Army in the Syracuse area has to offer. I think that I would be equally as happy working with horses as I would be doing some sort of social work in Syracuse. With the help of those already employed at the Salvation Army I have been able to explore my options in hopes of working there.

http://www.facebook.com/- I definitely use this webpage a lot because it links me to other friends that I have at other schools and allows me to contact them through this webpage.

http://www.myspace.com/- I also use this website to contact other people sometimes I learn about job openings in the Syracuse area and other times it is simply used for fun, also to contact other people at different schools. This kind of a website can be used to post different accomplishments and things that one would like to share, like art or music, so its definitely useful for that.
