Barbara Brenon, a little about me ...
Welcome to my home page, I'm glad that you're here!
Creating this web page is a course requirement for one of my MBA classes at LeMoyne College. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I would have my own web page ... let alone, that I would be the one to create it! When the professor gave us the assignment I was terrified, but, look at me ... I did it!
For those of you that don't know me I guess that I should start with a little background. I was born in Niagara Falls, NY and lived there until I attended college in Oswego, NY. (Back when I did my undergraduate work, computer classes used punch cards and the main frame, which took up an entire floor of the school's administration building! I'm amazed at how far technology has come in a few short ... decades.) After a year of graduate school in Albany, NY, I married an Army Officer and spend the next ten years living in Texas, Georgia and Alaska. My three wonderful children were born along the way and they continue to be a large part of my life.
At this point, the children have grown up and are all full time college students. Ben is following in my footsteps up in Oswego. Adrienne and Brian are down in Searcy, Arkansas. Adrienne will be graduating this coming May and plans to return to the Syracuse area.
Having an "empty nest" has been wonderful! I've thoroughly enjoyed having time to focus on my own needs, hobbies and goals. I always wanted to become a lawyer and considered using my new-found free time to go to law school, but at this point in my life it didn't seem realistic. Since I've spent the last twenty years in sales and finance it seemed more natural for me to get my MBA. I'm about halfway through the program and looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead of me.
