IRL 401 - Collective Bargaining

Definitions:  INTRODUCTION TO BARGAINING
Collective Bargaining - The joint determination of work rules by representatives of management and labor.
 
Exclusive Representation - The principle that one group of workers can be represented by one and only one union and that the union which represents them must represent them all, regardless of union membership status.
 
Matters of Interest - Issues arising over the negotiation or renegotiation of a collective bargaining agreement.
 
Matters of Right - Issues arising over the interpretation or application of an existing collective bargaining agreement.
